  • Leonard Fournette expected to return · Sep 13, 2018

Barring a setback, it looks like Fournette will return for week 2 in a tilt vs. the Patriots

The dynasty angle here is far more about Fournette's lack of durability. All eyes have been on his ankles from his LSU days and that has continued into 2018. Fournette responded by losing weight for the 2018 season but lasted only two quarters of week one before walking off with a minor hamstring pull. It's only a minor pull but Leonard Fournette needs to establish that he can be durable for an entire season or his DLF RB9 ranking and ADP (14) will see a decline. Owners can resume holding their collective breath with each carry.

  • Leonard Fournette suffers minor hamstring injury · Sep 10, 2018

According to head coach Doug Marrone, Fournette's injury is "minor"

No lower body injury for Fournette is minor but at least it wasn't an ankle. He pulled the hamstring while being pulled to the ground awkwardly and was able to immediately walk to the sidelines unassisted. It looked to be of a minor variety but Fournette's injury history has his owners on pins and needles with each tackle. Before leaving the field for good, Fournette was able to amass 41 rushing yards on nine carries in addition to 14 yards on three receptions, but the injury relegated fantasy owners to having to watch his replacement, T.J. Yeldon, produce 60 total yards and a touchdown over the remainder of the game. Yeldon also showed more physicality than he has in the recent past. It's unclear whether Fournette will play in week two and we'll update you more when more is learned. For dynasty owners, Fournette's value would be sky high if not for a major injury flag which waves prominently around his name.

  • Leornard Fournette drops weight · Jul 26, 2018

Senior writer for Jaguars.com, John Oehser said Leonard Fournette reported to camp at 223 pounds after playing in the range of 235 pounds as a rookie in 2017

Fournette's fantasy value has been dogged by constant ankle injuries stemming from his final years at LSU, yet he still managed 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns on 268 carries as a rookie. He also added 36 receptions for 302 yards and another touchdown in the passing game. A leaner Fournette should be more dynamic and, hopefully, give him the ability to avoid recurrence of the ankle injuries. T.J. Yeldon will still handle a material number of snaps but is also a free agent in 2019. The shared workload combined with the reduced weight should be a good combination to maximize his productivity in 2018. Still only 23, Fournette is DLF's RB8 and his ADP (15) is holding steady.

  • Leonard Fournette "fine" after scary injury · Oct 16, 2017

Following the game, Leonard Fournette exclaimed that he was "fine" and that he only has a mild ankle sprain.

Fournette's knee appeared to hyper-extend as he planted and he immediately fell to the turf. Owners held their collective breath as he hobbled off the field. As it turns out, it is said that Fournette was cleared to return to the game following increased taping of the ankle but the coaching staff elected to hold him out. On the day, Fournette amassed 130 rushing yards on 21 attempts and scored his sixth touchdown of the year. He also provided two receptions for eight yards in the 17-27 loss. 75 of his yards came on his first carry of the day and he was mostly bottled up following. Fournette is giving fellow rookie Kareem Hunt a run for the rookie of the year honor but don't count out Houston's rookie quarterback, Deshaun Watson. Through six games, Fournette has rushed for just shy of 600 yards and six touchdowns. He's a bonafide RB1 in dynasty.

  • Leonard Fournette flexes his muscle · Oct 2, 2017

Leonard Fournette rushed for 86 yards and caught four passes for 59 additional yards and a touchdown in Jacksonville's surprise loss to the New York Jets.

Fournette has done nothing but impress early on this season and was basically the Jags entire offense on Sunday. While his ceiling may be limited with Blake Bortles at the helm, he's posting numbers worthy of a top two pick in rookie drafts this year. Dynasty owners have to be pleased with the early returns they've been getting from Fournette.

  • Leonard Fournette looks like a workhorse back after week one · Sep 10, 2017

Fournette finished the game with 26 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown. He also added three receptions for 24 yards.

Foournette was leaned on heavily in the first half with 17 carries. He hit the 100 yard rushing mark, despite the low yards-per-carry (3.8). More importantly, he was used in the passing game, which was a question mark coming into his rookie season. If he continues to be the workhorse in Jacksonville, he should have a very nice season.

  • Leonard Fournette ruled out of second preseason game · Aug 14, 2017

Leonard Fournette (lower leg) has been ruled out of this week's preseason game.

It would be no surprise if this is the last we see of Fournette this preseason. The Jags are being wise with their new playmaker here as he's dealt with ankle and foot injuires over the better part of the last two years. They could play him in week three's dress rehearsal but I'd consider it doubtful. Fournette should be ready to go for week one and even though any injury with him is worrisome, this doesn't sound like a big deal.

  • Fournette misses practice with a foot injury · Aug 13, 2017

Leonard Fournette was missing from Sunday's practice as he deals with a foot issue.

Fournette has dealt with his fair share of foot and ankle problems, so this is a concern. However, owners shouldn't panic too much because this sounds like routine maintenance and not a long-term issue. Fournette will likely be held out of this week's game but hopefully return for the dress rehearsal during week three of the preseason.
